Der Basler Nachthimmel verwandelt sich in ein klingendes Tanz- und Lichtspektakel: Vier Frauen erzählen in einer poetisch spielerischen Weise an einer 34 Meter hohen Wand von weiblichen Kräften und den damit verbundenen Machtkämpfen. Sie befassen sich mit dem Jahrhunderte alten Bild der Hexe. Mit der Bezugnahme auf die Hexenprozesse, die in der Stadt Basel stattgefunden haben, beleuchtet das Kollektiv nicht nur ein dunkles Kapitel in der Geschichte Basels, sondern möchte auch ein sichtbares Zeichen gegen die Ausgrenzung von Andersdenkenden und Gewalt gegen Frauen setzen.
Vertical Dance ist eine Form des Aerial Dance - ein akrobatischer Tanz, der in der Vertikalen stattfindet. Die Tänzer:innen hängen an einem Seil, tanzen in der Luft und benutzen Hauswände oder andere Bauwerke als Bühne.
Es erwartet Sie eine poetisch schillernde Nachtperformance mit Live-Musik, Vertical Dance, Erzählungen und Lichtkunst: ein Erlebnis der besonderen Art für Gross und Klein.

The night sky of Basel is transformed into a sounding dance and light spectacle: Four women tell in a poetically playful way on a 34 meter high wall about female powers and the power struggles associated with them. They deal with the centuries-old image of the witch. By referring to the witch trials that took place in the city of Basel, the collective not only sheds light on a dark chapter in Basel's history, but also wants to set a visible sign against the exclusion of dissenters and violence against women.
Vertical Dance is a form of Aerial Dance - an acrobatic dance that takes place in the vertical. The dancers hang from a rope, dance in the air and use the walls of buildings or other structures as a stage.
You can expect a poetically dazzling night performance with live music, vertical dance, narration and light art: a special kind of experience for young and old.
